\nThe biennial application cycle for the Montana Coal Endowment Program (MCEP) is now open. All MCEP applications must be submitted by May 23rd<\/strong>.\u00a0The program makes awards to cities, towns, counties, and districts to replace aged collection or distribution systems, newly construct or repair treatment facilities, and repair or replace bridges. \nMontana Department of Commerce’s Housing Division is accepting a second round of HOME-ARP applications now through April 30th<\/strong>. HOME-ARP is a federal block grant that provides funding for reducing homelessness and increasing housing stability. \nThe federal government is providing more than $100 million to replace lead service lines in Montana. The inventory of lead service lines must be completed by October 16th<\/strong> of this year. The Community Technical Assistance Program (CTAP), housed within the Department of Commerce\u2019s Community MT Division, is charged with providing technical assistance to complete lead services line inventories. \nLocal governments partnered with one or more community-based, nonprofit organizations may apply for\u00a0funding to support projects that deploy clean energy, strengthen climate resilience, and build capacity for communities to tackle environmental and climate justice challenges. These grants, administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, may be submitted under two separate tracks depending on the project scope.
