We know that local government funding, primarily through property taxes, plays a vital role in providing essential services that benefit Montanas such as firefighting, education, and infrastructure. Recently, we’ve seen and heard legislators at the state level blame local governments for higher property taxes, which we all know is not true.
So, let’s do something about it! The League has been working with the talented folks at Lead Ethically to provide our members with a long-term, community engagement strategy designed for local governments to effectively communicate with their citizens because you are in the best position to share how local government works.
Join us on November 13th at 11:00 a.m. to learn how we can all do our part to engage with and educate our citizens from the local perspective. LINK TO JOIN.
